Barbara Jacobs Mcalister

Barbara Jacobs McAlister, 69, of Stephenville, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 1st at Ex-ray Cemetery with Travis Priddy officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Barbara was born on June 1, 1943 in Stephenville, to the late Issac Newton and Katie Ruth Massey Jacobs. She married Billy Cook, Jr. on June 15, 1963, and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1966. Barbara married R. B. McAlister on June 12, 1968, and he also preceded her in death on March 31, 2004. Barbara was a member of World Ministry Outreach Church, where she served on the church board, and she was a lifelong resident of Stephenville. Barbara was a homemaker, and a healthcare attendant. She is survived by her two daughters, Cara Lingle and Donnie Jokel of Stephenville, and Denise and Dwain Sechrist of Dublin; grandchildren, Robert Ordonez, Dustin Sechrist, Jacob Sechrist, Logan Sechrist, and Jaylon Sechrist; brother, Gene and Kathleen Jacobs of Erath County. Barbara was also preceded in death by a brother, Dean Jacobs Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Diabetes Assn.
