Barbara (Richardson) Hampton

Mrs. Barbara Richardson Hampton, daughter of the late Woody and Hallie Richardson, was born November 25, 1945 in Dublin, TX. She graduated from Dublin High school in 1964 where she was a star basketball player, cheer leader, homecoming queen and band sweetheart. She married the late Johnny Wayne Hampton on February 5, 1964 in Stephenville. Barbara Hampton was a member of the Cowboy Church of Erath County. She was influential in running the Hampton Brothers Dairy. She got her realtor license in 1986 and then her brokers licenses in 1996 when she opened Barbara Hampton &; Associates.

Barbara Hampton also served as President for the Stephenville Association of Realtors.

She was a loving wife and mother, together Johnny Wayne and Barbara raised their children in Rodeo.  Barbara loved her family, a good trip to the casino, but her favorite was to watch both her grandsons rope.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, JJ Hampton & Ricky Prince & Angie Yates, brother in law Ronnie Jack Hampton and wife Rita, grandchildren Marty Yates and wife Loni and Kason Prince, great grandchildren Miley Grace Yates, cousin Gary Lee Richardson and wife Jo Nell Richardson.

Barbara is proceeded in death by her parents Woody & Hallie Richardson, husband Johnny Wayne Hampton, In laws Johnnie Hampton & Helen Hampton son Row Hampton &; son in law Marty Paul Yates.

The Hampton family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Johnny Wayne Hampton Memorial Scholarship

Funeral services for Barbara Hampton will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 25th at Cowboy Church of Erath County with Werth Mayes officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery.  Visitation with the Hampton family will be at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday evening at Cowboy Church of Erath County.
