Avinelle Noland Meador

Avinelle Noland Meador was born on June 3, 1941, to Clarence and Katie Ina (Franklin) Noland in Erath County close to Clairette, Texas. She passed away on September 2, 2024, at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas.

Avinelle lived most of her life in Hico, Texas. She went to school in Alexander and Selden before graduating from Stephenville High School. On August 4, 1960, she married Claudie Gene Meador in Selden, Texas. Together they had 5 children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. Avinelle worked for Hico ISD as a para-professional and bus driver for 37 years. She was a member of the Duffau Baptist Church.

Avinelle is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Claudie, her brother, Carl Burton Noland, her sister, Dorothy Noland Randals, her granddaughter, Amber Noonkester Ramsdell and her niece Brenda Randals Jarrell.

Avinelle is survived by her son, Carl Meador and his wife, Donna of Stephenville, and their children, Diona, Cody, and Nicole. Her son Paul Meador and his wife, Kenna, of Hico. Daughter, Lorie Noonkester and her husband Larry, and their son Adam. Son, Roger Meador and his wife Fay, of Hamilton. Daughter, Rachel Burton and her significant other, Daniel Barge of Bluff Dale, and her children Jessica and Jacob. Avinelle leaves behind a total of 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly by her loving family, friends, former coworkers and students of Hico ISD.

In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests donations be made to Hico Volunteer Fire Department, your local animal shelter, or the Make a Wish Foundation.

Visitation is planned for Friday, September 6th at Stephenville Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm located at 120 South Loop, Stephenville, TX.

Graveside Services will be held at Hico Cemetery off Highway 6 on Saturday, September 7th at 2 pm.
