Ava "Me Me" Elliott

Ava O. "Me Me" Elliott, 93, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008 in Stephenville. Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery in Buffalo Gap, Texas with Carl Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Ava was born on September 25, 1914 in Buffalo Gap to the late Lee and Valley Tate Welch. She married Joe Perry Elliott and he preceded her in death on August 8, 1975. Ava was a homemaker and a Methodist. She has resided in Stephenville for the past 30 years after living in Buffalo Gap most of her life. Ava is survived by her son, Perry Elliott and wife Meldeene of Stephenville; grandchildren, Marisa Elliott of Dallas, and Scott Elliott of Dallas; Sister, Lucille Talley of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ted Welch, and R.L. Welch; and a sister, Opal Talley. Memorials may be made to the Fosters Home for Children, P.O. Box 978 Stephenville, Texas 76401.
