Arvilla Christian

Arvilla Christian, 84 of Stephenville, passed away Saturday in Stephenville. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Erath Gardens of Memory. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Arvilla was born on January 6, 1931 in Desdemona to the late Edgar and Ruby Crosby Ash. She married Carl J. Christian on March 19, 1950 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death April 6, 2012. Arvilla was a member of the Church of Christ, and was a lifelong resident of Erath County. She spent several years in nursing, and retired from Tarleton State University as a custodian. Survivors include sisters-in-law Merlene Sparks of Stephenville and Earlene Moore of DeLeon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
