Annie Maye Griffin

March 13, 1916 — May 14, 2009

Fort Worth -- Annie Maye Griffin, 93, joyfully joined her heavenly Father in glory on May 14, 2009. Annie Maye, or "Gram" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her life exemplified her love of Christ and her concern for others through teaching Sunday School, nursing the elderly, volunteering at a children's shelter, assisting the Red Cross, and even rescuing injured animals. Annie Maye stayed active with walking, played the piano and French harp, and greatly enjoyed cards, dominoes, and board games. She told endless stories and would spontaneously break out in a song and/or laughter to the delight of all listening. Annie Maye never met a stranger and she had a talent for making everyone she knew feel special. She will be missed greatly, yet her loved ones have many treasured memories to cherish throughout their lives. Visitation: 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
