Ann Gray

November 17, 1930—January 27, 2021

Ann Gray, 90, of Stephenville left this earth in peace on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home.

Graveside services will be held at Indian Creek Cemetery in Erath County on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 2 PM.  There will be no visitation at the request of the family due to the current pandemic.  Stephenville Funeral Home will be handling all the arrangements.  Brother Werth Mayes will be officiating the service.

Ann was born on November 17, 1930 in Stamford, Texas to Paris Doyle and Ruth Marie Lee Park.  She graduated from Rotan High School in 1948.  She married her beloved B.W. on July 1, 1949 in Abilene, Texas.   She was a bank teller for many years and the face of Farmers First National Bank.

B.W. and Ann were married for 71 years and raised three boys on their ranch.  She was a member of the Selden Baptist Church.  Her favorite things were her family, cooking for others, and fishing.  She would set the most elaborate tables with cloth napkins, table cloths, fine china and silverware and the crown jewel- a huge platter of fried chicken.  She would say, “Southern Living, eat your heart out” when she marveled at her accomplishment.  Everyone was welcome at her table, and she always had plenty of food.

Ann Gray’s legacy is carried on through her sons and their wives David and DeDe Gray of Henrietta, Texas; Robert and Tamra Gray of Throckmorton, Texas; and Jerry and Debra Gray of Stephenville, Texas.   She has 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren whom she loved and created special memories.

She is also survived by her brothers Bill Park of Roby, Texas and Charles and Dorothy Park of Spencer, West Virginia; sisters Mary Jo Pope of Roby, Texas and Betty Koonce of Austin, Texas; brothers-in-laws Gene Cooper of Jefferson City, Missouri, Wayland and Peggy Gray of Aspermont, Texas; sister-in-law Janice Park of Hico, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, four brothers, and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Selden Baptist Church 4209 FM913, Stephenville, TX 76401 or the charity of your choice.
