Anita Frances Thompson Head August 7, 1944 ~ March 27, 2017 Anita Frances Thompson Head, 72, of Stephenville passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, in Stephenville. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at West End Cemetery in Stephenville following the service. The Head family will receive friends and visitors at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, before the service. Anita was born on August 7, 1944, to the late W. T. Thompson and Bonnie VonRoeder Thompson in Snyder, TX. She married the love of her life, Jackie Lee Head, on January 3, 1963, in Snyder, TX. She was a homemaker most of her life and always stayed busy. She was extremely creative and talented and operated her own cake decorating business for many years. Her most beloved job, however, was being a loving wife and mother to her three children and being active in their lives. She has been a resident of Stephenville for the last 18 years and worked in the bakery at Walmart for many of those years. To know Anita was to love her. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jackie Lee Head; children, Kristi Washington and husband, Tommy, of Stephenville, TX; Kerri Head of Midland, TX; and Douglas Head and wife, Beth, of Thayne, WY; grandchildren, Connor Washington of Houston, TX, and Hailee Pepper of Midland, TX; and siblings, Jerry Brooks and wife, Sharon, of Yantis, TX; Gary Brooks and wife, Tomibeth, of Weatherford, TX; Janie Sue Hall and husband, Tom, of Abilene, TX; and Barb Mansur and husband, Bruce, of Dripping Springs, TX. Anita was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kylee Pepper. The family wishes memorial expressions to be made to The American Cancer Society.
