Ama Lee Taylor, 90, of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 in Temple. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sharon Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Ama was born on June 10, 1918 in Proctor, TX to the late H.C. and Grace Ewing Bettis. She married C.M. Taylor on Nov. 19, 1966 in Stanton, Texas. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and delighted in helping and giving to friends and family. She was a resident of Stephenville for twenty years. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, C.M. Taylor of Stephenville; one son, Euland Thompson and wife Judy of Loleta, CA; two sisters, Winnell Browning of Andrews, TX; and Loraine Sutton of Valley Mills, TX; one brother, Hiram Bettis of Houston, TX; grandchildren include, Ross Thompson, Rena Heagle of California; Melinda Blais of Arizona, and their mother Marzelle Hinrich of California; Patrick Bryce and Ryan Bryce of Texas; great-grandchildren include, Nick, Cheree, Brittney, Emily, Rebecca and Ian; and one great-great-granddaughter Haley. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 1302 N. Harbin Dr. Stephenville, TX 76401.
