Alta Lee Jackson

Alta Lee Jackson, 88, of Stephenville passed away on Wednesday, April 02, 2014 in Stephenville. Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dale Cartwright and Pete Pharis officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Bluff Dale. Visitation will be held Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Alta was born on April 29, 1925 to the late Richard Ollie Franklin and Annie Elizabeth Scott in Brownfield, Texas. She married L. A. (Andy) Jackson on October 12, 1946 in Morgan Mill and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2001. Alta was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She lived in Erath county most of her life. Alta is survived by her son, Bobby Jackson and wife Shannon of Saginaw; daughter in-law, Mary Lou Jackson of Rockwall, grandchildren Michelle Escobedo, Gina Heck, Erika and husband Nathan Stephens, Nathan Jackson, Lauren Jackson; great grandchildren, Spencer Eubank, Jackson Stephens, Sidney Stephens, Anderson Stephens, Kensley Stephens; sisters, Frances Hyde of Stephenville, Betty Jean Wiese of Granbury, Mae Gentry of Stephenville, Fae Reed of Stephenville and Louise Olree of Granbury; several nieces and nephews. Alta was preceded in by her daughter, Betty Ann Jackson on August 18, 2010 and her son, Kenneth Jackson on February 7, 2014 and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
