Alma Mae Johnson, 90, of Selden, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Selden. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Emil Becker officiating. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Alma was born on August 5, 1917 in Hobart, Oklahoma to the late Bert Oliver and France Jeanette Moore Brown. She married Elmer E. Johnson on July 4, 1934 in Erath County and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1998. She has resided in Erath County for 80 years. She was a dairyman, a housewife, and a member of the Selden Baptist Church. Alma is survived by a son, Ralph Johnson and wife Linda of Whitney; daughters, Frances Johnson of Selden, Martha Vinson of Stephenville, Emma Wisnieski of Proctor, and Sherry Miller and husband George of Marietta, Ohio; sister, Mary Catherine Cook of Fort Worth; nephew Travis Cook Jr. of Fort Worth; fourteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer E. Johnson; brother, Ralph Brown; and a grandson, Jerry Don Dumas.
