Alexander T. Vargas

Hico Alexander T. & Pancho Vargas May 27, 1940-July 9, 2015 Alexander T. & Pancho (his dog) Vargas 75 of Hico both died in a single automobile accident on July 9, 2015 in Erath County. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 25th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville. Alex was born on May 27, 1940 in Boerne, Texas to the late Joseph and Sebastiana Trevino Vargas. He was a concrete construction supervisor. Alex was a lover of good food, and good people. His favorite color was blue. His eyes were green. He could starch up or dress down with the same ease. He believed in keeping his word no matter the cost. He was a husband for more than thirty years, and a father of one for almost forty seven. He loved to go fishing almost as much as he loved country music, and he knew who George Strait was, but never heard of Luke Bryan. He loved Hank Williams. He loved to go dancing. He loved beer. Alex Vargas was a great movie lover as well. Action movies and westerns were his favorites, but make no mistake, he could soak up the drama of a Mexican soap opera just as easily. He loved his dog, Pancho probably more than he loved himself, and it brings peace to know that they left this world together. He loved God. Survivors include his son, Edward Alexander Vargas of Hico; grandchildren, Jaren Alexander Vargas, Austin Chandler Vargas, and Tristan Edward Vargas all of Sachse, Brooke Lynn Vargas and Lucas Wooden both of Denton, and Mason Presley Vargas of Denton. Besides his parents, Alex was also preceded in death by three brothers, and two sisters.
