Alberta (Bertie) Taylor

Alberta (Bertie) Taylor, 88, of Bluff Dale, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 in Waverly, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Bluff Dale Baptist Church with Ryan Taylor and Seth Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Glenn Cemetery in Bluff Dale, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Kenneth. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Bertie was born August 13, 1923 in Amiot, Kansas, near Waverly, to the late Henry and Florence Andrew Cole. She married Kenneth L. Taylor in Las Vegas, New Mexico on June 11, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1986. Bertie was a member of Bluff Dale Baptist Church and had resided in Waverly, Kansas since 2005. She was a bookkeeper. Survivors include her children, Donna Williams and husband Doug of Waverly, Kansas; Steve Taylor and wife Ruemma of Bluff Dale; Earl Taylor and wife Linda of Wichita, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Lonny Taylor in 1963, a sister Iris, and a brother, Jerry. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Bluff Dale Baptist Church.
