Wanda Geraldine (Hall) Sharp
February 5, 1928 – September 2, 2018

Wanda Geraldine (Hall) Sharp, 90, of Dublin, Texas passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8th at Greens Creek Baptist Church in Dublin. David Blagg will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lower Green’s Creek Cemetery. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.

Wanda was born on February 5, 1928 in Lorenzo, Texas to the late Earl and Dovie Lee (Cox) Hall. She grew up in the Purves community of Erath County, Texas. Wanda married Ray Preston Sharp on April 15, 1949 in Dublin. They made their initial home in Dublin but soon made a life together in the Land of Enchantment, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Wanda was a mother, homemaker, wonderful cook, and special partner to Ray keeping the home fires burning while he was away on his many assignments for the Federal Government. She studied cosmetology and was licensed to be a beautician by the State of New Mexico. She quickly found a position at the Rainbow Beauty Salon in Albuquerque where she built up a loyal and large clientele. Upon retiring from her beautician career, Wanda and Ray moved to Amarillo, Texas. A short while later upon Ray's retirement, they returned to Erath County and to their farm where Wanda worked out her retirement by raising her garden, attending her beloved Greens Creek Baptist Church, caring for her grandchildren and their children and helping care for her extended family.

Ray preceded her in death on February 17, 2017 during their 68th year of marriage.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherryl and husband Charlie Finegan of Dublin; son, Randall and wife Susan Sharp of Dublin; grandchildren, Kyle and wife Eddy Finegan of Brock,Texas, Shane and wife Lyndsey Finegan of The Woodlands,Texas, Brandi and husband Derek Tenboer of Columbus, Ohio, and Aaron and wife Emily Sharp of Spring, Texas; great grandchildren, Preston, Ronan, Rory, Liam, Heagan, Alora, Ezra, Amelia, Ashton, and Aria; brother, Weldon and wife Ruth Hall of Altus, OK; sisters, Oleta Dodd of Springfield, MO, and Oneta and husband Richard Hall of Lubbock; and several nieces and nephews.
